Today we took the time to discuss the experiment ideas that folks brought to class. Sounds like there will be some very interesting things going on this week.
We also took some time to explore everything from the farthest distances in space to the smallest particles in the universe. Space and matter is an incredible thing.
I'm including some of the videos that we watched this week. You may want to take a look. They are pretty mind blowing.
For homework this week go ahead and do those experiments we talked about. Feel free to email me with any questions throughout the week
Once you do your experiment write it up using the lab template you used for the Diaper experiment.
Next week, you are going to be presenting your experiment to the class. Your overall goal is to attempt to have everyone in class fully understand what you did, what your results where, and what your conclusion is. You do not need to redo your entire experiment for the class but you will need to:
1. Explain the purpose of the experiment.
2. Explain your hypothesis.
3. Explain how you did the experiment. What were your methods? What are the independent, dependent and constant variables.
4. Show your data. Try to make it so that the class can see and understand your data. The best way to do that would be to make a graph out of your results.
5. State your conclusion. What did your experiment show? If the data is inconclusive, it's fine to report that
6. Please feel free to send me pictures, graphs, any thing you may need to help with your presentation.
Good luck everyone and have fun!
